| Quietly freaking out about next year. I have absolutely no idea what comes next. Will I get into a masters course? Will I get a place at UCL or anywhere else? What house will I live in, and who with? What city will I be living in? How am I going to afford all this? How big a loan will I need to cover this extra year's tuition? Will I actually get a job in publishing at the end of all this, or is it just another huge expensive gamble with borrowed money?

| Missing roleplaying today. Mostly I'm glad I kicked the habit, but sometimes when I read the boards I feel like a kid looking through the window of a sweet shop.
I was a decent roleplayer. I could get better. After five years' practice I'm still a terrible novelist.

| I don't know what language socio-legal studies are taught in, but it's definitely not English.
What does it mean to "decapitalise a concept"? What is a "problematic", used as a noun? What precisely is the difference between "discursive" and "non-discursive" disciplines? How does one "thematicise power"? How about "totalisation procedures", what are they? "Imbrication"?

| I have a confession to make: I just read the latest Wheel of Time book (the one whose first chapter I hated) cover to cover, and I couldn't believe how good it was.
What's wrong with me? Have I been murdered and replaced by a pod person? Is my taste in books declining dramatically? Has Brandon Sanderson mastered subliminal messaging?
Or is it really just an implausibly awesome book?

| Today I am eating the tiramisu of glory.
